- (Minimum Coverage) Amicus Curiae Brief in Department of Health and Human Services v. Florida (United States Supreme Court, No. 11-398): Coalition brief filed by the National Women’s Law Center (and joined by NASW) as amicus curiae on the individual mandate to purchase minimum health insurance coverage in support of United States Dep’t of Health and Human Services. The brief argues that the Affordable Care Act is a significant piece of civil rights legislation combatting gender discrimination in access to health care.
- (Medicaid Expansion) Amicus Curiae Brief in Florida v. Department of Health and Human Services (United States Supreme Court, No. 11-400):Â Coalition brief filed by the National Health Law Program (and joined by NASW) as amicus curiae on the Medicaid expansion provision in support of United States Dep’t of Health and Human Services. Â The brief argues that the Medicaid expansion contained in the Affordable Care Act is consistent with historical applications of the Medicaid program and the Court of Appeals decision on this issue should be affirmed
