Campaign
to End AIDS Endorsed By NASW
The National Association of Social
Workers has endorsed the Campaign to End AIDS. The Campaign
to End AIDS (C2EA) will culminate with a rally and march on
November 5 in Washington, DC, and end on November 8 with Advocacy
Day on Capitol Hill. Caravans traveling through all 50
states will leave from state capitals and cities on October
15 to arrive in Washington, DC on November 4.
The goals of C2EA are to:
- Fully fund high-quality treatment and support services
for all people living with HIV everywhere in the world.
- Ramp up HIV prevention at home and abroad, guided by science
rather than ideology.
- Increase research to find a cure, more effective treatments
and better prevention tools.
- Fight AIDS stigma and protect the civil rights of all people
with HIV and AIDS everywhere.
Social workers are essential for making this event a success
and ensuring a strong social work presence in Washington, D.C.
We hope we can count you as an active supporter of and participant
in the march.
