Social Workers Give An Hour to Veterans in Need Thursday, November 05, 2009 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM ET Credit Hours: 1 CEU(s)Over 1.9 million men and women have served in Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) in Afghanistan and Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF). As the largest provider of mental health treatment in the country, this presentation will discuss how social workers can help our nation’s veterans in a variety of ways. It will highlight the Give An Hour program which encourages mental health practitioners, including licensed clinical social workers, to give one free hour of counseling each week to a veteran or their loved ones.
