Gosnell Memorial Scholarship Panel
Authorization and Accountability
The Gosnell Memorial Scholarship Panel was established in April 1991 by action of the NASW Board of Directors in response to a generous bequest made by Consuelo Gosnell who had special interests in American Indian and Latino populations.
The panel reports to the Development Committee through the Awards Committee. Funds are collected through the Social Work Research and Education Fund.
The Gosnell Memorial Scholarship Panel will recommend a program for selecting annual winners of the Gosnell Scholarship Awards to be used exclusively for masters degree candidates in social work.
The Gosnell Memorial Scholarship Panel continues to the extent that there are funds available.
Members, Terms and Criteria
The Panel shall consist of four (4) members. Membership should include individuals from American Indian and Latino populations.
The program shall include criteria for eligibility, consideration and selection. The panel will name the winning candidates and establish a timetable for announcing these awards annually.
