Public Comment Period Closes August 8, 2010

NASW is developing Standards for Social Work Practice with Family Caregivers of Older Adults, and we need your help in ensuring that the standards are relevant to current practice. Please review the standards and provide feedback using the form below. The public comment period ends at 11 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time on August 8, 2010.

Please consider the following questions as you review the standards:

  1. How applicable are the standards to social workers across practice levels, professional roles, and practice settings?
  2. How relevant are the standards to the experiences and needs of family caregivers of older adults?
  3. Are the standards easy to understand? Are there any concepts that need to be clarified?

Development of the NASW Standards for Social Work Practice with Family Caregivers of Older Adults is part of Professional Partners Supporting Family Caregivers, an initiative done in partnership with the AARP Foundation, the Family Caregiver Alliance, and the National Association of Social Workers, and made possible by funding from the John A. Hartford Foundation.
