Healthy Families, Strong Communities Project

NASW has been awarded a grant from the United Nations Foundation for a project entitled “Healthy Families, Strong Communities.”  This is part of a United Nations Foundation (UNF) initiative to motivate the U.S. and the broader international community to significantly improve maternal health and achieve universal access to reproductive health (Millennium Development Goal # 5).

Through this funding, NASW will hold forums to engage Washington, DC social work students and social work practitioners across the country in discussing the importance of reproductive health and family planning in their own lives and the lives of those in developing countries.  NASW will utilize a broad array of media and communications tools to disseminate informational materials on the topic to NASW members and the public.
