Life Can Change in a Second…

And when it does…A Clinical Social Worker can help

Whether it’s adjusting to a new job or figuring out what to do when a job is lost; or welcoming a new addition to the family or grieving over the death of a loved one, social workers are there to help.

The National Association of Social Workers (NASW) introduces the 11th Edition of the NASW Register of Clinical Social Workers.

Clinical social work shares with all social work the goal of enhancing and maintaining the mental and social functioning of individuals, families, and communities. The idea of person-in-environment—the individual, others who affect this person, as well as the physical and social environment—are central to clinical social work practice.

Clinical social workers are trained to deal with a variety of issues in a variety of settings, such as mental and behavioral disorders, mediation, employee assistance programs, and family counseling, just to name just a few.

CONSUMERS: To find a clinical social worker near you, go to Register of Clinical Social Workers.

For News Media: You may contact the NASW Public Affairs Office via email at tkelly@naswdc.org for a hard copy (order online: Register of Clinical Social Workers) of the clinical register, or you may search online for a social worker at: Register of Clinical Social Workers.
