NASW Brings on New Director of Customer Service

WASHINGTON—The National Association of Social Workers (NASW) announces the addition of Samuel Reed, Jr., as the new Director of Customer Service.

Reed brings a wealth of business and non-profit management experience to NASW. Most recently, Reed held the position of Director of Membership Development at the United States Telecom Association (USTA) in Washington, DC. Prior to that, he was National Sales and Marketing Director at the Information Technology Association of America in Arlington, VA. Reed ‘s background consists of both business and customer service training and skills.

Elizabeth J. Clark, PhD, ACSW, MPH, Executive Director of the National Association of Social Workers says, “NASW has eagerly awaited the arrival of Sam Reed, Jr. He brings a wealth of experience from both the not-for-profit and corporate arenas.”

“His experience and enthusiasm will help move NASW forward increasing efficient service to both members and our chapters,” Clark adds.

Reed says, “My main objective is to develop a world class customer support organization. I am very excited to be at NASW—the Customer Service Division has great opportunities to grow and contribute even more to the association's continued success.”

Reed added that by creating a strategic and shared vision across the customer service teams, he hopes to help the association be more effective in carrying out its mission—exceeding the expectations of members, employees and the profession.
