The Gaming Industry continues to experience growth at national and state levels across the US. More and more state governments are expanding legalized gambling to help generate revenues for their budgets. Unfortunately, the expansion of gambling has not been met with a similar expansion of prevention and treatment services and funding. This culturally and socially acceptable leisure activity can have severe consequences for the problem and pathological gambler.

This webinar will briefly review legislation and public policy. Participants will learn the "hook" of gambling and what makes some individuals become addicted. Resources for education, awareness, and treatment resources will also be discussed.
