Every year in the U.S., hundreds of thousands of individuals are sentenced to time in prisons and jails. More than 700,000 are released back to their communities annually. Many of the people attempting to reintegrate into society are parents. Social workers participating in this webinar will better understand the difficulties facing families affected by the separation of incarceration. Tips will also be provided for how social workers can support families during the transition period.
