Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender persons deserve the same protections and opportunities in their work and work, family, career, and health as equal members of society. Globally, the impact of laws and community practices have demonstrated a negative impact the physical and mental health and wellbeing of the diverse persons making up the LGBT community. Social workers are committed to advancing policies and practices that will improve the status and well¬being of all lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people and their families. The webinar will look at the state of equity globally for LGBT persons, and the role of social workers and allied providers in promoting and protecting the human rights of LGBT persons.
