Stress can be defined as a response to a perceived threat, challenge or change. We live in a high paced society that focuses on productivity and monetary gain. Our profession can be very fulfilling for many, however, there are often intense components to navigate. As stressors increase, it is not uncommon to experience a sense of dread, worry, or apprehension. This presentation will assist participants in:
•Understanding the difference between distress and eustress.
•Identifying the signs and symptoms of stress.
•Learning about the links between temperament and stress.
Discovering self-care interventions to manage signs and symptoms of stress.
