Cultural Competency in End-of-Life Care from a Faith-Based Perspective Tuesday, April 12, 2011
1:00 PM - 2:00 PM ET
Credit Hours: 1 CEU(s)
Individuals and families facing end of life often turn to faith communities for support with spiritual, emotional and practical issues. However, many faith communities do not have the resources, training and support they need to offer comprehensive care for people during this time. This webinar will explore the spiritual issues people may face at end of life in major faith traditions. Participants will explore strategies for developing cultural competency in matters of faith at the end of life, discuss ways social workers can work effectively with diverse spiritual care providers and learn how to access programs and resources across faith traditions at the end of life.
1 Social Work continuing education unit will be provided.
