Student Membership

NASW connects students with the resources they need for a successful career and gets their professional careers off to the strongest start possible.

NASW realizes student members are the future of the social work profession and need specific resources and information to help them through school and to prepare them for careers in social work. That is why NASW developed an online Student Center and a student starter toolkit for student members. Below are other resources and information available to students:

Supplemental Educational Courses

Free NASW Online Courses • 2.0 CEs Each
NASW online courses educate social workers about today’s practice topics and can be used to enhance social work curricula. Courses are available on a variety of issues, including the NASW Code of Ethics (NASW members only — 3.0 CEs), aging, cancer, end-of-life care, adolescent health, genetics, HIV/AIDS, malpractice risk, and cancer caregiving.
