Capitol Action Day is NASW-NY’s annual advocacy event that empowers social workers to engage in the advocacy process at the State Capitol in Albany, New York to make an impact for the profession and the communities we serve.
Serving New York social workers since 1955, NASW NY is the power of the profession and its mission to uphold dignity for every person can not be accomplished without you.
Your partnership is crucial to our ability to provide resources to social workers, address inequities in the profession, and strengthen mental health and health services in new York by supporting its #1 workforce.
At Capitol Action Day, social work schools and students, organizations, professionals, members and beyond will have a chance to talk with legislators about the issues that matter to us—and most importantly, to you. Our advocacy resides in the belief that to adequately address the mental health crisis in the State, there must be a focus on the recruitment and retention of social workers.
