NASW announces call for proposals for 2016 National Conference


Conference will bring together leading minds in social work to share best practices, key advances

WASHINGTON, D.C.— The National Association of Social Workers (NASW) invites submissions of proposals to present at the 2016 NASW "Leading Change, Transforming Lives National Conference. NASW welcomes compelling proposals that address a wide range of topics related, but not limited to promoting social equity and justice, upholding the pursuit of excellence in ethics, and using evidenced-based practices.

"Our national conferences have brought together some of the leading minds in social work to share best practices and discuss key advances in the profession, said NASW Manager of Conference and Event Planning Richard Loomis. "We look forward to receiving engaging proposals to be presented at the 2016 National Conference.

Abstracts are encouraged in all social work practice areas, and at all levels of practice (micro, mezzo, or macro). These concepts can be demonstrated through the following tracks (which are not mutually exclusive):

  • The Power of Leadership

  • Innovations in Practice

  • Promoting Social Equity and Justice

  • Upholding Excellence in Ethics

  • Advancing Clinical Social Work Practice
