Calling All Macro Social Workers! Interested in an Internship or Fellowship on Capitol Hill? ‐ Attend Internapalooza.

Internapalooza Spring 2022 is a free orientation and welcome event for new and/or prospective congressional interns. Internapalooza will be held virtually on January 13, 14, and 21, 2022 and provides an in-depth introduction to congressional internships and how they can be a rewarding experience and open doors for careers in public policy. The event is hosted by the First Branch Intern Project, a coalition of nonprofit organizations dedicated to supporting congressional interns and ensuring a diverse pipeline to Capitol Hill. The program includes training in professional etiquette and writing for Congress, advice for navigating constituent interactions, an introduction to the legislative process, and tips for standing out as an intern. Prospective interns also have the opportunity to attend sessions geared toward helping them submit a successful application, ace the interview, and secure the internship. Sessions are taught by current and former congressional staff, interns, and subject-matter experts. Registration and more information are available at the Intern Project.
