NASW National CE Approval Program
Founded in 1955, the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) is the largest professional organization of professional social workers in the world. NASW works to enhance the professional growth and development of our members, to create professional standards, and to advance sound social policies. Eligible program formats include:
-
Workshops: A structured, time‑limited educational program designed to
provide focused learning on a specific topic or skill area. Workshops
are typically interactive and may include presentations, facilitated
discussions, case studies, hands‑on activities,
or skill‑building exercises. They are intended to enhance participants’
knowledge, competencies, or professional practice within a defined
subject area.
-
Conferences: A multi‑session educational event that brings together
participants to explore a broad theme or field of practice through a
variety of learning formats. Conferences often include keynote
presentations, concurrent sessions, panels, and networking
opportunities, and may span one or more days.
-
Symposia: A focused educational event centered on an in‑depth
examination of a specific issue, emerging topic, or area of research.
Symposia typically feature expert presentations, scholarly discussion,
