Clinical Art Psychotherapy is a multi-disciplined treatment modality that is deeply embedded in Psychoanalytic Theory, Bio-neurological Effect of Color and its Psychological Interpretation and the use of symbolic language in unveiling repressed Complex Trauma.
Treatment uses the dynamics of “Free-Association,” “Transference and Counter-Transference,” the principals of Line and Design and the Psychological Interpretation of Color while integrating treatment techniques of CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, as well as developing Individual Person-Centered Treatment Plans meeting time constraints of insurance imbursement.
Through the use of Clinical Art Psychotherapy, the clinician can identify Developmental lags, racial, religious and cultural influences/ bias, as well as identify possible pathological indicators which can then be intervened with focusing on preventative harm reduction treatment.
Clinical Art Psychotherapy uses the individual’s own Creative Energy, to identify and undermine repressed memories through their drawings and through their choice of color selection.

Thursday, March 4, 2021 (12- 3 pm ET)
Presenter: Frederic G. Reamer, Ph.D.
CE Category: 3 Ethics contact hours
Social workers sometimes witness, perpetrate, or fail to prevent acts that violate their deeply held beliefs. The harm that they experience is referred to as moral distress or injury. Moral distress and injury may trigger a wave of symptoms and emotions that adversely affect the practitioner: post-traumatic stress disorder; feelings of overwhelming guilt and remorse; and a sense of demoralization in the form of disheartenment, dejection, hopelessness, loss of values, and despondency. These adverse effects can be so debilitating that some practitioners consider leaving the profession they love. In this webinar, Frederic Reamer discusses the concepts of moral distress, injury, and demoralization; the symptoms that can manifest; prevention, self-care, and resilience; legal and ethical obligations, including what it means to be a whistleblower; and how to develop moral courage to advocate for organizational and policy changes to prevent harm.
Cost: SPS Members: Free / Non-SPS Members:$55 / Non-NASW Members: $75

This presentation is to provide you with an ethical understanding regarding the importance of self-care during this pandemic and to provide you with strategies both in a professional setting and non professional setting to assist in early recognition and prevention of burnout.
During the presentation there will be tips on recognition for self-care strategies to promote one’s own self-care during the pandemic. Acknowledgement that burnout truly impacts both work and overall health is the first step.

Presenter: Dottie Saxon Greene, PhD, LCSW, LCAS
CE Category: 1 Social Work contact hour
This one-hour webinar explores how to ethically share and hold space with and for our clients while experiencing the same stressor – COVID-19. When the people we serve experience challenges that are too close to home, social workers usually have an option to refer to another practitioner. Because we are truly in this together, that may not be an option during a pandemic. So, how do we simultaneously hold space for clients and engage in self-care under COVID-19 conditions?
