This teleconference will review common dilemmas faced by social workers who receive a subpoena for client records or for social workers’ testimony. The presentation will review ethical and legal standards for confidentiality and privilege, identify appropriate options for responding to subpoenas, and inform participants of relevant legal resources available to NASW members.
