This panel will highlight the voices and careers of three Black male social workers, discuss the importance of representation, cover barriers that they’ve had to overcome as a black male social worker, and celebrate triumphs that they’ve seen throughout their work.

12 p.m.-1:30 p.m.

This webinar will explore the social work profession’s eugenic legacy, and will identify present-day manifestations of the eugenic mindset, resulting in the continued targeting of those most marginalized and vulnerable. Participants will have opportunities for reflection, with the aim of deepening our commitments to upholding human dignity and self-determination.
