Lunchtime Series for 2013

The NASW Lunchtime Series gives members the opportunity to earn CEUs and learn about the latest social work issues being addressed by the association. Each one-hour webinar is offered live on a monthly basis and conducted by NASW staff.

The following Lunchtime Series topics are being offered for 2013:

  • Feb. 12: “Navigating the New Multigenerational Workplace in Child Welfare.” Presented by Roxana Torrico Meruvia.
  • April 18: “Emerging Issues in Adolescent Health.” Presented by Kamilah S. Omari.
  • May 16: “New Domestic Violence Policies: Implications for Social Work Practice.” Presented by Rita Webb.
  • June 4: “The Power of Linking Social Work Practice and Policy.” Presented by Elizabeth Hoffler and Kelsey Nepote.
  • June 27: “Enhancing Palliative Care: Introduction to the National Consensus Project’s Clinical Practice Guidelines.” Presented by Chris Herman.

Members are encouraged to sign up early for the Lunchtime Series of their choice, as space is limited to the first 2,000 who sign up. Registration is necessary prior to attendance. For members acquiring CEUs, a test will be administered after each webinar session and a certificate will be issued after successful test completion.

This list of Lunchtime Series may be subject to change. Please check the online schedule prior to registration.

There also is a link to obtain audio and transcripts from previous courses. Webinars held in January included: “Use of Trauma Informed Assessments of Youth Entering the Juvenile Justice System” and “Psychotherapy Codes: Major Changes for 2013.”
