Center Releases Person-Centered, Trauma-Informed Updates

two persons talking The Center on Aging, Trauma, and Holocaust Survivor Care, based at the Jewish Federations of America and funded by the federal Administration for Community Living, has released two major products on the Person-Centered, Trauma-Informed approach for aging-focused organizations and service providers:

  • Written guidance for aging services, titled “Aging with a History of Trauma: Strategies to Provide Person-Centered, Trauma-Informed Care to Older Adults and Family Caregivers.”
  • A self-paced, continuing education online course, “Person-Centered, Trauma-Informed Essentials for Aging Services.” Registration, including five NASW-approved CE credits, is free for individuals, teams and organizations: holocaustsurvivorcare.jewishfederations.org/pcti_training.
