In Brief

The 2026 Social Work Month campaign, “Social Workers: Uplift. Defend. Transform,” highlighted a profession that continues to uplift communities, defend human needs, and drive systemic change. NASW CEO Anthony Estreet, PhD, MBA, LCSW-C, opened Social Work Month in March with video welcome messages that praised social workers for the work they do and re-emphasized NASW’s support for the profession. Nationwide, social workers held appreciation events, summits, webinars and other activities as they honored social workers. An influencer campaign featured some of the most popular social workers on social media. These influencers posted positive messages about the profession and NASW.
