TransFamily Support Services guides transgender/non-binary youth and their families through the gender transitioning process to help make it the most positive experience possible. They provide family coaching, assistance with healthcare and insurance issues, help navigating the legal system, and support at schools. All services are provided at no fee.

This interactive graphic provides a visual map of gender identities and expressions that people use, with their definitions and a few examples. Instead of the man vs. woman binary, this map uses masculine, feminine, both, and neither to describe a spectrum of gender identities.

The Family Acceptance Project® is a research, intervention, education and policy initiative that works to prevent health and mental health risks for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender children and youth, including suicide, homelessness and HIV – in the context of their families, cultures and faith communities. They use a research-based, culturally grounded approach to help ethnically, socially and religiously diverse families to support their LGBT children.
