March for Women's Lives: Choice-Justice-Access-Health, Abortion-Global-Family Planning

Thank You!

The National Association of Social Workers was a Partnering Co-Sponsor of the March for Women's Lives on April 25, 2004.

Thanks to more than 400 individual marchers, 271 additional supporters and 53 co-sponsoring NASW Chapters, social work had a strong presence at the March for Women's Lives on April 25, 2004.

NASW President, Gary Bailey, speaking at the March for Women's Lives Rally recognized the social workers marching on April 25, " There are many social workers here today, speaking out in support of people's rights to make choices about who they are and who they love, where they live, how they live, and what they do."

As social workers — and as members of the world's largest membership association of professional social workers — speaking out in support of people's rights to make choices about who and how they love, where they live, how they live, and what they do, represent our core social work values. These values protect and benefit everyone in our society.
