NASW Rhode Island and NASW Massachusetts

The NASW-RI Chapter, in partnership with the Massachusetts Chapter, will be hosting a Virtual Symposium 2023 event for two days on Thursday, April 27 and Friday, April 28, with the theme “Social Workers Persist: Global Problems Demand Local Solutions”. All conference participants will have the opportunity to connect with experts in the field, be inspired by highly regarded speakers, and gain new skills at innovative workshops.

Join keynote speaker Mojdeh Rohani, LICSW in her presentation “After The Cameras Are Gone: The Global Refugee Crisis And Social Work’s Critical Role”. Today, there are over 100 million refugees in the world, and sadly the number continues to grow at an alarming rate. With the core values of social justice, service, dignity and worth of the person, social work plays a critical role in addressing the current refugee crisis on micro, mezzo and macro levels. The keynote session will be followed by a 90 minute Panel Discussion on Social Work's Critical Role. Scroll to view our full list of workshops, on-demand webinars, and speakers.
