Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is deeply woven into every aspect of social work. So what happens when the federal government—which is supposed to represent all Americans—works to erase DEI?

Our cover article explores the effects recent anti-DEI efforts are having on social work education, with many schools of social work across the country expressing fear and uncertainty about what the future holds.

This issue also examines the lack of men in the social work profession, and the trend of more Americans than ever choosing to die at home. Also, check out the NASW News section to read about NASW’s new “Stronger Together Action and Resource Center” and the Blueprint of Public Policy Priorities for the 119th Congress.

These resources aim to help social workers stay informed about the federal government’s policies and cuts to programs that harm social workers and their clients—and offer ways to take action.

Until next time,

Laetitia
