Elizabeth “Liz” Dole-Izzo, LCSW

Elizabeth “Liz” Dole-Izzo, LCSW, is a retired clinical social worker, administrator, and educator with 30 years of experience in psychiatric, medical, legislative, and academic settings. An Air Force veteran with an MSW from Colorado State University, she dedicated her career to clinical practice, leadership, and supporting the Wyoming social work community. Recently retired from the VA as an Emergency Room social worker, Dole-Izzo’s clinical background also includes inpatient psychiatric evaluation, court examination, hospital and oncology social work, and advocacy for unhoused families and survivors of domestic violence.

Dole-Izzo’s administrative experience includes serving as BHS administrator at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center, where she managed three departments, directed COVID-19 crisis planning, and updated suicide assessment policies. She also spent a decade at the University of Wyoming as an Associate Lecturer and Director of Field Education, where she taught, mentored students, built community partnerships, and aligned policies with CSWE standards.

Since 2007, she has been actively involved with NASW, including serving as NASW-WY chapter pand executive director. In her role as director, she partnered with the state licensing board and served as a registered lobbyist advocating for the profession and improved mental health policies. She is also a recipient of the NASW-WY “Greatest Contribution to Social Work Practice” award.
