The section “Access to Records” was revised to include a new standard, 1.08(b), which addresses the use of technology to provide clients with access to their records.
Highlight
- Consistent with other new standards, 1.08(b) advises social workers to develop policy and to inform clients about policy specifically concerning the use of technology, and to provide clients access to their records. Policy should be consistent with prevailing social work ethical standards.
