Beyond the Binary is more than a conference. It's a space for healing, a catalyst for change, and a collective call to action for mental health professionals, advocates, and allies. At a time when the LGBTQ+ community—especially trans and nonbinary individuals—faces growing systemic challenges, this convening offers urgently needed dialogue, tools, and solidarity. What to Expect: Challenge monolithic approaches to mental health care by exploring the layered identities within LGBTQ+ communities. Highlight urgent disparities—from trans suicide rates to the compounded trauma of hate crimes affecting Black and Brown trans women. Confront internalized oppression and narratives like “queer enough” that restrict identity, authenticity, and access to support. Empower clinicians and allies with tools to provide affirming, trauma-informed, intersectional care. Too often, LGBTQ+ individuals are seen through a single lens. This conference honors our multiplicity. Through education, community care, and shared experiences, we will deepen our understanding and strengthen our collective resilience. Whether you're a clinician, advocate, or ally, this space is for you—to listen, to learn, to heal, and to grow. Together, we'll build beyond binaries and redefine what truly affirming mental health care looks like.
