This informational webinar will increase social workers' knowledge about the Opioid Response Network (ORN), a SAMHSA-funded project that provides evidence-based training and technical assistance in the prevention, treatment, and recovery of opioid and stimulant use disorders. Join ORN Co-Director, Kathryn Cates-Wessel, and Aimee Campbell, PhD to learn about ORN's work, how ORN can support social workers, and possible opportunities for social workers to be consultants in supporting ORN's wide-reaching activities.

Presenters: Kathryn Cates-Wessel has 40 years of experience in the substance use disorder field in policy, coalition building, medical education and administration. She is CEO of the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry (AAAP) and Principal Investigator and Project Director of several federally funded grants, including the "Opioid Response Network” (www.opioidresponsenetwork.com).

Aimee Campbell is a Professor of Clinical Psychiatric Social Work in the Department of Psychiatry at Columbia University Irving Medical Center and a Research Scientist at the New York State Psychiatric Institute. Dr. Campbell has been involved in substance use disorder treatment and implementation research for over 25 years.

Program provided by NASW with support from the Opioid Response Network (ORN).
