Stephanie Asare Nti, LMSW
Stephanie Asare Nti works as a Child Development Specialist for the Montgomery County Infants and Toddlers Program. Her responsibilities include using a family-centered developmental approach, providing assessment, treatment, and coaching to support children’s mental health. She also works for the Montgomery County Abused Persons Program, providing counseling services to domestic violence offenders, psycho-education, group psychotherapy, case management, and individual counseling sessions.
Nti holds an MSW from the University of Toronto, and BSW Honors from Ryerson University. Her major NASW positions include serving on the International Committee, trainer for HIV/AIDS Spectrum Project, policy panel member and expert content consultant.
She has co-authored reports and publications for the U.N. and government agencies on social work-related content, and co-authored an article, “International Experiences Promote Social Justice and Benefit Your Practice,” with the NASW International Committee, which was featured in Social Work Today, July/August 2017. She was awarded the 2012 Alumni Achievement Award for founding Social Workers Beyond Borders.
