This training will interactively go over the philosophy, evidence, spirit, and benefits of MI. The training will review stages of change, and targeted MI strategies based upon stage of change. The training will teach participants the basic MI strategies of OARs, cultivating change talk, and decreasing sustain talk, in addition to using specific MI tools. Upon completion, participants should be able to use basic skills, with information on how MI coaching/coding will advance these skills in the future.
