NASW Tennessee Chapter applauds decision to grant Cyntoia Brown clemency
NASHVILLE, TN -- The NASW Tennessee Chapter applauds Governor Bill Haslam’s action in granting clemency to Cyntoia Brown.
The Tennessee Chapter wrote Haslam in 2018 urging him to grant clemency.
Haslam has demonstrated a consistent commitment to improving the lives of Tennessee’s children and youth. We appreciate his careful review and action on this case where a 16 year old was sentenced to life in prison.
