Dr. Bhandari is professor and director of social work, Purdue University Northwest. She is also a licensed clinical social worker with her own private practice. Her research focuses on violence against women, specifically domestic violence. She has worked in the area of domestic violence and mental health for about two decades as a researcher, educator, and practitioner.

This presentation will briefly discuss extinction risks, then the presenter will describe components of a "survival justice" practice framework, which is work that supports the growth of healthy, progressive, and interrelated natural and social conditions which ensure that all global life is protected from extinction and is able to thrive and interact productively for the good of Earth's entire ecosystem.
